PHP, an HTML-embedded scripting language with syntax borrowed from C, Java and Perl with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown in, is now at version 5.4.4.

PHP 5.4.4 comes with a huge list of new features, updates and bug fixes, and is a major leap in the 5.x series, at least according to the developers.

Highlights of PHP 5.4.4:

· Performance while sending error page was improved; · A missing bound check in iptcparse() was fixed; · A memory corruption in internal function get_icu_disp_value_src_php() was fixed; · An unexpected behavior when incrementally assigning to a member of a null object was fixed; · Object recursion not detected for classes that implement JsonSerializable was fixed; · A weakness in the DES implementation of crypt and a heap overflow issue in the phar extension was fixed; · A PHP crash when calling ob_start in request_shutdown phase was repaired;
