The handset includes an application for video editing

Pantech Group has announced the launch of the PG-3600V handset. The slider phone features an elegant design with a revolutionary touch wheel sensor and is targeted at young consumers.

The touch wheel sensor allows for easy navigation and gives users access to functions for tracking songs, zoom function for image capture or tracking recorded movies and moving menu bars.

Measuring 102.3 x 46.6 x 17.9 mm and weighing 94 grams, the phone has a 1.9 inch TFT LCD display capable of showing 260k colors. A 1.3 CMOS camera can be used for taking pictures or for video capture in the MPEG-4 format, which can be then edited via an included video editing application.

The phone includes an audio player which recognizes MP3/ AAC/AAC+/WMA formats. The internal memory consists of 512 MB and can be expanded by using memory cards.
