The organization accuses the celebrity of backing down on past promises

Seeing how, during one of her past interviews with Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga stated loud and clear that, “I hate fur, and I don't wear fur,” it really is not quite that big of a shock that, after seeing the celebrity wearing a fur coat in public, PETA decided that the singer needed to be reminded about some of her previous statements.

Unfortunately for Lady Gaga, the way in which PETA chose to re-educate her is rather abrupt and lacking in sensitivity.

Thus, PETA's vice president Dan Mathews sent a letter to Lady Gaga, asking if her latest fur outfits stand as proof that she has forgotten all about how, not very long ago, she also stood up with them and militated in favor of animal rights.

“By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you’re making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian,” reads a fragment of Dan Mathews' letter to Lady Gaga.

“As we plan our fall campaigns, please tell us whether what you gracefully told Ellen was heartfelt or just a pose,” concluded PETA's vice president.
