PETA Blasts Kim Kardashian for Wearing Fur

Since fashion was probably Kim Kardashian's smallest problem now that she's facing a serious backlash from the public for divorcing Kris Humphries, PETA is making it for her. The group goes after the socialite in a new campaign.

Us Weekly reports that a new billboard will go up in the following weeks, blasting Kim for wearing real fur.

With it, comes a scorching statement from the group which, of course, doesn't hesitate to kick Kim about the divorce when she's down.

“On the billboard, going up in early December at the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Sweetzer Avenue [in Los Angeles], a fur-clad Kardashian sits opposite an adorable, sad shot of baby foxes. 'Kim: These Babies Miss Their Mother,' reads the provocative sign. 'Is She on Your Back?'” Us reports.

The photo that will go on the billboard also comes attached to this article. As you can see, it shows an older photo of the reality star, but that's not to say that her offense is not new, because in recent months too she's been seen out and about wearing fur.

“Kim knows that animals on fur farms are beaten, electrocuted, and often skinned alive. We've explained it to her, and she's watched a video exposé that was filmed inside fur farms,” PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange says in a statement to the aforementioned celebrity publication.

“When Kim is ready to put an end to her relationship with fur, PETA will be happy to take her discards and donate them to the homeless,” Lange adds.

Since the new initiative comes at a very difficult time for the reality star, when she's seeing almost the entire world turn on her for allegations that she staged her wedding and marriage to Kris Humphries for publicity, no statement would be complete without a mention of the divorce.

“PETA hopes that the prominent billboard will finally be enough to convince Kim... to divorce herself from fur and say 'I do' to a more compassionate wardrobe,” Lange says.
