Konami has just revealed the full details about its upcoming PES 2016 soccer simulator title, which launches on September 18, one week ahead of its arch rival, EA's FIFA 16. It also packs in PS3 and PS4 exclusive features and pre-order bonuses, and will appear on PC, Xbox One, and 360 as well.

The Pro Evolution Soccer series has been around for quite some time, and while the current iterations don't pose such a big threat to EA's FIFA franchise, this doesn’t mean that developer and publisher Konami is ready to give up on it.

Quite the opposite, as the Japanese company already shared a few early details at the beginning of the week, and now brings forth all the nitty-gritty information about its fresh soccer simulator.

PES 2016 brings new and refreshed mechanics

First up, a huge set of brand new gameplay mechanics are available in the upcoming game. An Advanced Collision system ensures unique outcomes, the Aerial Strength one also brings unique battles when fighting for an overhead ball, while the 1v1 situations are governed by a refined system.

Better player AI for goalkeepers, defenders, and even for celebrations ensures that all the people on the pitch will behave as realistically as possible.

A lot of existing features have also been refined by Konami, from the revamped Master League, which has a new user interface and a more interesting player transfer system, to the dynamic weather, the overall visuals, or the ball physics. A huge amount of new animations are also available in PES 2016, so players should notice more realistic motions for their favorite soccer stars.

A few other systems have also been tweaked based on fan feedback, such as myClub that brings a player level system and more options to govern the activity of your own virtual club. There's an improved dynamic wide camera angle, new commentators for the UK and German languages, and a refined PS4 image importing system.

Pre-orders are live for PES 2016, offering a few interesting goodies on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. However, PS4 and PS3 users will be able to get a free upgrade to the Anniversary edition of the game, which brings even more advantages and rewards.

PES 2016 launches worldwide on September 18, one week ahead of FIFA 16.
