Publisher Konami plans to release a free demo of the game ahead its launch in November

Adam Bhatti, the European Product Manager for the upcoming PES 2015, made some bold statements regarding the football video game, and advised everyone to try out the demo when it would hit.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 is FIFA 15's main competitor, but publisher Konami isn't putting as much effort into marketing the game, at least not on the surface.

When asked about it on Twitter, Adam Bhatti replied that Konami simply couldn't afford to have the same marketing campaign as EA Sports, and that in his view the best investment in advertising was "making a brilliant game" and then waiting for word to get around.

"The only thing you should care about is game quality not marketing? Certainly know what my focus is," he posted on Twitter.

FIFA 15 vs. PES 2015

Bhatti also talked about how the two games stacked up against each other, touching on why the Konami team was silent while EA Sports was continuously building hype for the upcoming FIFA 15.

The company suggested that fans of the sport would be able to enjoy a free demo of the football video game ahead of the game's launch, to be revealed at a later date.

The company mentioned that gamers would be able to play with Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Juventus FC and SSC Napoli in the demo, using the Allianz Arena as a playing field.

"After some time with a certain football game *ahem*, clear to me now why we won best sports game. When PES is on song, no one can compete," Bhatti tweeted, alluding to FIFA 15 and the fact that PES 2015 won the Best Sports Video Game Award at Gamescom 2014.

Only the future can tell which one comes on top

The two companies are doing their best to push their two creations, and for the time being, the jury is out on whether FIFA 15 or PES 2015 will come on top. Pro Evolution Soccer used to be a highly popular series a while back, but FIFA managed to catch up, and it's currently winning the popularity vote.

FIFA 15 is landing on September 23 in North America and September 25 in Europe, available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with a legacy version also making its way to the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita platforms.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 is scheduled to drop on November 13, headed to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms.

If there's one thing you do, make sure you download the #PES2015 demo when it hits. Seriously, all football games right now don't come close — Adam Bhatti (@Adam_Bhatti) September 10, 2014
