The team is affected by an aggressive licensing stance at Electronic Arts

Adam Bhatti, a community manager at Konami, says that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will not have a stadium editor because the development team has problems with the licensing mechanics for some venues.

The developer tells VideoGamer that “I can't go into it, but in particular has made the team realise more than ever about acquiring licensing, and we're determined to fight back in this regard next year.”

It seems that the problem is somehow linked to Electronic Arts, which has been moving fast to secure exclusive deals with Spanish clubs linked to the design of their stadiums.

PES 2014 will have around 20 different pitches on which teams will be able to play.

It seems that Konami has long term plans to improve its ability to secure the look of iconic stadiums.

PES 2014 will be launched on September 20 in Europe and four days later in North America, on the PC, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360.
