Video game publisher Konami is issuing a public apology for the problems that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 players have been dealing with when trying to launch online matches, especially on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

The two companies are working closely at the moment to eliminate a problem with Data Pack 1.00, which leads to an error message when gamers try to apply it on top of the first patch for the football simulation.

Eurogamer quotes a statement from Konami as saying that, “We would like to apologise to any users who have been unable to enjoy PES2014 online and would like to reassure fans we'll be fixing the issue as quickly as possible.”

The company is also creating a special section on the official PES 2014 site to make sure that gamers get all the support they need.

A new patch for the game is set to launch in the coming days to fix more issues and add the 11 vs. 11 mode.
