The distro comes in two editions for the 32-bit architecture

The PCLinuxOS 2012.08 Linux distribution has been released earlier today, August 22nd, in two editions based on the KDE desktop environment.

PCLinuxOS 2012.08 KDE Edition is powered by Linux kernel 3.2.18.2 and the KDE Software Compilation 4.8.3 environment.

Among its features we can mention support for Nvidia and AMD/ATI graphics cards, out-of-the-box support for multimedia playback, support for wireless networks, support for many local and network printers, as well as tools to make your life easier.

PCLinuxOS 2012.08 also includes various popular apps, among which we can mention BleachBit, Clementine, digiKam, Dropbox, Mozilla Firefox, The GIMP, K3b, KTorrent, Mozilla Thunderbird, Pidgin, Shorewall, SMB4K, Synaptic Package Manager, TvTime, VLC and Xchat.

PCLinuxOS 2012.08 is distributed as a Live DVD and Live CD with the KDE desktop environment for the 32-bit architecture.
