The hacker “4ntipatika,” one of the founders of the Philippines hacker group Pinoy Vendetta, has breached the Philippines website of tech publication PC World (pcworld.com.ph), Pinoy Hack News reports

When users visit the site, a popup window is displayed with the message “Security breach.” A second popup reads “Hello admin, Please fix your system.”

Then, a php file is loaded and a defacement page is displayed.

At the time of writing, PC World Philippines was not restored.

Judging by a message posted by the hacker on Facebook, the goal of the attack on PC World Philippines is to get the site’s administrators to patch up vulnerabilities.

On its Facebook page, Pinoy Vendetta is described as a group of hackers and hacktivists from the Philippines.

“At this time we are currently seeking more for the truth about the Philippine government and also finding some weakness/vulnerable of many Philippine websites,” the hackers wrote on Facebook.
