Gamers are going to have to wait until December

Grand Theft Auto IV is a massive title and the game that marked the next generation evolution of the open world sandbox shooter. Released this Spring for the high end consoles, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game has had massive sales and gained critical acclaim for its innovative gameplay and features that were unexplored by other titles.

Although the console versions did extremely well, a lot of gamers have been waiting for the PC version, slated for a mid November release, in order to play it at its full potential. But now, unfortunately, Rockstar, the developer of this game, has just posted on its website that the release date has been moved to December 2.

Although no reasons were given for this delay, a lot of people speculated that Rockstar had had shipping problems, which resulted in some copies of the game not reaching certain stores or countries. This might have been expected, considering the very large number of copies that were due to be shipped, but fans hoped Rockstar would take care of this problem.

Also, the official system requirements were posted on the same website and, although not very different from the ones announced some time ago by the GamesForWindows site, they will definitely get a lot of people interested.

Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista – Service Pack 1 / XP – Service Pack 3

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
