Yves Guillemot, the leader of publisher Ubisoft, says that his company is using the PC as the lead development platform for its upcoming Watch Dogs title.

The game is supposed to be launched on the current generation of home consoles from Sony and Microsoft, the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the yet unrevealed Xbox 720.

A rumor is also suggesting that Ubisoft is preparing a version of the game for the Nintendo-made Wii U.

Guillemot states, according to PlayerAttack, that,  “We expect fewer problems with porting games to the PS4 than the PS3, which had a completely different infrastructure. Previously, we developed games first on the Xbox 360 and then translated them onto the PS3. It took a lot of time and money to port.”

Watch Dogs is an open-world game that tackles themes like surveillance and hacking.
