Apple commercial backfires

Porn? Midget porn? Where? C'mon, I'll bet that the only thing that would get PC and Mac users really connected is porn. Midget porn to be more accurate. When you are trying to put the fun, entertainment and sharing into PC and Mac networking, what better way than midget porn?

It seems that the "I'm a Mac"/"I'm a PC" is becoming a social phenomenon. But Apple will harvest little benefit from this. The fact of the matter is that humor can backfire. And comebacks are one of the most hilarious aspects of the "I'm a Mac" vs."I'm a PC" Apple campaign. This time, the boomerang hit home.

TrueNuff has managed to hit Apple where it hurts... in the networking capabilities. The video is a spoof of an Apple segment on Mac vs. PC networking. The original video commercial by Apple is somewhat less offensive. The Mac guy and the PC guy are holding hands, casually, no subliminal messages get through. Just file sharing at its most innocent.

However, the spoofed video gives out a less sensitive note. The two Mac guys file sharing are a tad gay, but just a tad. And I'm saying this only because one of them makes a little curtsy when he introduces himself. And also, you can notice how well they seem to handle sharing midget porn.

Just look at the reaction of the PC guy when he establishes a connection. You can clearly see that he's enjoying himself a great deal. Oh well... just watch the embedded videos...
