PC-BSD 9.1 RC2 Fixes USB Drives Issues

PC-BSD 9 desktop Enlarge picture - PC-BSD 9 desktop
PC-BSD, a BSD distribution with the goal to be an easy-to-install-and-use desktop operating system based on FreeBSD, is now at version 9.1 RC2.

Highlights of PC-BSD 9.1 RC2:

• The distribution is based on FreeBSD 9.1-RC2;
• Multiple bugs where mice freeze or behave incorrectly have been fixed;
• Language selection has been fixed in order to be displayed as native language;
• Compatibility improvements for PS2 mice have been made;
• Time-out issues with External DVD Drive / USB Drives have been fixed;
• System proxy paths and functionality have been updated.

Download PC-BSD 9.1 RC2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.

downloaded and installed flawlessly in virtualbox. burned to dvd and tried to run as live disk on spare laptop but only get black screen with prompt to login. what next? can't find any documentation as to how to proceed to desktop to be able to play around with it before deciding whether to install or not. I'm a Linux Mint user and totally new to anything BSD. Most frustrating, as i quite liked what I saw in virtualbox. :(
