PC-BSD, a BSD distribution with the goal to be an easy-to-install-and-use desktop operating system based on FreeBSD, is now at version 10 Beta 3.
According to the developers, this latest image is a very early cut of the new stable/10 branch of FreeBSD and is probably only suitable for advanced users or developers.
Highlights of PC-BSD 10 Beta 3:
• FreeBSD 10-STABLE / 10.0-BETA3 from 11/8/2013 has been included; • PCDM is now the default login manager; • New 10.X artwork and themes have been added; • A long list of bugs relating to PBIs has been fixed; • A few issues that occurred when enabling the flash plugin out of box have been corrected.
