BenQ has officially announced the launch of the quad-band P50
PDA-phone.
The long expected PDA targets the business community with its wide range of powerful connectivity features and productivity tools. The
PDA-phone
hybrid P50 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003, it's powered by an Intel PXA272 416Mhz processor, and packs-in 64MB of SDRAM and 64MB of Flash ROM. It has a large QVGA TFT
LCD display measuring 2.83 inch with touch screen and a resolution of 240 x 320. The integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera has 4x digital zoom and 5 resolution settings, built-in Pocket Studio for photo editing and Photo Album.
The P50 supports most of the major audio/video formats for playback,
MP3, WAV, WMA, AMR, MIDI, WMV and MPEG4. The new
PDA features many connectivity options. The user has the option to choose from WLAN, GPRS,
Bluetooth, IrDA, USB, and SDIO technologies. The hybrid measures 122 x 60 x 20 mm and weighs 170 grams. Talk time is estimated at 4 hours and standby time at 120 hours.
BenQ P50 is available in UK for about £365 (handset only) or for free with a Vodafone contract from Expansys.
