For 31 years, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been husband and wife, business partners, and incredibly good friends. That isn’t going to change anytime soon, the rocker writes on Facebook, shooting down rumors of a split.

The other day, The Sun ran a story according to which the two had been living separate lives for some time.

They lived miles apart and barely kept in touch, the tab said. It did not offer a reason for the so-called split, but it did hint it was for good and that a divorce was imminent.

“Ozzy, 64, is in a rented mansion and Sharon, 60, is staying in a plush hotel while having a new six bedroom property in the city redecorated. Removal trucks have been spotted at both homes,” The Sun claimed.

As it turns out, none of the above is even remotely close to the truth.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ozzy shoots down reports of a split, but also makes a surprising revelation for his fans: he’s fallen off the wagon.

“For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an [expletive]-hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober,” he writes.

“Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person,” Ozzy adds.

“I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period………and my fans,” he concludes.

Many have noted that, while he does deny that he and Sharon are divorcing, he doesn’t actually say that the report that they’ve been living separate lives is false.

In other words, they may be separated or taking some time out, while he cleans up his act. Or, just as likely, Sharon moved out but he’s still holding on to hope that they will get back together again.
