The worldwide leading publisher and developer of mobile entertainment solutions Ozura Mobile has announced the inking of a strategic partnership with Zouk Mobile, a leading provider of mobile content in Ireland and South Africa.

The new cooperation between Ozura Mobile and Zouk Mobile is meant to further strengthen the presence of the former on the international market as it provides one of the best wireless gaming experiences. The company's premium titles are expected to become available through the latter’s mobile gaming portal as well as through its distribution channels in Asia Pacific, Europe and South Africa.

"We are delighted to work with Zouk Mobile considering their global outreach to mobile users," said H.E. Mah, Ozura's vice president of marketing. "With this partnership, our products are now available to a larger number of mobile users, regardless of the telcom they're subscribed to."

The Africa and Asia Pacific areas of the market are expected to see impressive growth in the future years, says a Juniper study. According to the research, more than 460 million mobile users in these regions should resort to game downloading by 2010. According to the firm, there are two reasons at the base of this state of facts, namely an increase in the adoption of mobile phones complemented by the low levels of penetration of fixed Internet and game consoles.

"Therefore, the partnership with Zouk Mobile is another step to gain a bigger slice of this lucrative market as well as to elevate our mobile games offering to market," Mah added.

Ozura Mobile offers a wide range of mobile games for carriers, mobile phone manufacturers and service providers. The games the company develops are meant for the J2ME, BREW and Symbian platforms, and are available in over 130 countries through its distribution networks. The company expects the number of handsets to support compatible platforms to exceed one billion devices this year.
