David Henneberry, the man finding Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hiding on his boat, described the moment when he took off the tarp.

Henneberry told the Boston Globe that he had no idea that someone was hiding underneath it. He hadn't even spotted the blood on the boat, before checking it out.

“If I had seen blood out there, I wouldn’t have investigated it. [...] I’m not crazy,” he says.

The whole town had been on lockdown for 4 days, and the fact that the protective padding over the hull of his boat was partially taken down was “driving him nuts,” according to his wife.

He believed that the wind had pushed it to his side. When he lifted the shrink-wrap over the Plexiglas door, he realized that a bloodied man was hiding inside. He ran back to the house, discussed it with his wife and called 911.
