Partying all night is not what Britney's life is totally limited to. There's also her comeback album to think of, the improving of her sullied image, a divorce to be finalized (and the issue of the custody of the two children to be considered) and... helping children in need.
Christmas is usually a time for sharing and helping each other. The same goes for the fallen pop star who, no matter how many nights she spends painting the town red or how much of her body she reveals to the cameras, still has some poor children's best interest at heart.
As of yesterday, an online auction has been launched in Britney's name, with all the proceeds going to the Britney Spears Foundation for Children in Need. Items of clothing, accessories, the inevitable signed photos and albums and a handwritten essay are all included in the auction lot that comprises almost 170 items.
This far, the one object that got the most attention is Britney's essay, a book report she wrote while in high school on a translation of Sophocle's 'Antigone'. On December 4th, the paper will go on sale at Christie's and estimates show that it will most likely fetch between $500 and $700.
The handwritten page got Britney a respectable grade of 88 points (out of 100) and comes with the teacher's notes and observations ('Nice cover', 'Watch out for spelling mistakes') and 'a yellow card note decorated with the book's title'.
No mention whether the auction lot also includes items from the Federline 'era' or not has been made until now. We'll keep you posted.
