The Owen Wilson family just got a little bigger yesterday with the addition of a brand new baby boy. The happy news was made public on January 30 by the representative of the actor, quoted by Us Weekly.

The mother is personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist. The 41-year-old was reported to have become pregnant with the American actor for the first time back in October.

They started seeing each other after Owen hired Caroline to be his personal trainer, and Wilson had just broken up from Kate Hudson. Their professional relationship evolved into a friendship that quickly turned personal and intimate.

The news of her pregnancy came as she was involved in a divorce with her plastic surgeon husband from whom she had separated some while back.

Though the couple is now no longer together, Owen is said to have made a promise to help Caroline with the baby and the entire birthing process. A source said that, “Owen plans to be involved with the baby and help raise him.”

At the moment, the couple “have an amicable relationship and [care about] what's best for their unborn child. They get together for dinner and see each other fairly often.”

This isn't the first child that the 44-year-old actor has fathered, but it is the first with Lindqvist. His first child was also a boy, which he welcomed into the world in January 2011, with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell. After the birth, Owen was quoted as saying that fatherhood was “exciting.”

Owen is said to be ecstatic over the birth of his new son, but he isn't keen on starting a new relationship with the mother of the child. Naturally, this doesn't bode well with Caroline, who seems bent on making a family for their son.
