The team behind the Ouya home console is delivering a new system update for the device, called Jackalope, which is designed to offer a new star-based rating system for games and the ability to delay future updates.

The company says that more changes have been made to download functionality and to other aspects of the platform, with full details offered in the official announcement.

At the same time, the development team explains that it will not be able to support HDMI-CEC on the current version of the device.

The team adds, “now that you’ve made it clear that this is a feature that’s important to you, we’ll make sure that HDMI-CEC support will be a default feature of our next generation of OUYA.”

The company is also pledging to add an Achievement system as soon as possible and to fix all the problems that the community is reporting.
