Outlook.com is growing, at least that's what Microsoft is claiming, so new features are being added to the service every once in a while in order to make the email platform better address users' needs.

Today, the company announced that Outlook.com now supports advanced rules, basically providing you with enhanced control over the way your emails are sorted or displayed in your inbox.

Advanced rules are based on several new filters, including “time constraints, email tallying, checking read/unread state of emails, and checking if the sender is a contact you know,” as Microsoft explained.

At the same time, the updated email service now boasts an undo feature that basically allows users to revert some of the changes, such as deleting an email, with just a single button. If you're using a keyboard, it's also possible to hit the Ctrl+Z key combination to bring back emails.

In-line replies make it faster to respond emails, while also allowing users to track conversations easier, without taking them to a new screen.

Last but not least, the new Outlook.com also changes the way you chat with your contacts by providing options that allow you to start a conversation with a friend on one instant messaging protocol and continue it from where you left off on another network.

The company says that these features are currently being rolled out, so they should arrive in your account in a couple of weeks.
