Outlook.com now has more than 60 million users, Microsoft says Enlarge picture - Outlook.com now has more than 60 million users, Microsoft says
Microsoft has just announced that its very own Outlook.com email service is coming out of preview and is now available for people all over the world.

What’s more, the service has no less than 60 million users, according to Microsoft’s very own statistics, confirming that a lot of consumers are actually switching from Gmail to Outlook.com.

“It's been just over 6 months since the Outlook.com preview released and the reception to date has greatly surpassed our expectations; over 60 million people already actively using Outlook.com. This number represents people that sign in several times a month via the web, client, or smart phone to really use our service,” Microsoft said.

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Microsoft will now end its anti-Gmail efforts, as the company will most likely continue to advertise Outlook.com by revealing the unfair practices used by its rivals.
