Users are reporting several issues with the Outlook.com calendar, as the service seems to be unavailable when trying to add new entries.

Microsoft hasn’t yet issued a statement on this, but a company employee says on the official support forums that Redmond has started a maintenance process on this particular feature, so it’s now looking into downtime reports.

“I understand that this issue is taking sometime to be resolved. Please be informed that it is still under investigation as well as the thread that you have posted. We will update you as soon as we have the resolution to this issue. Your patience is highly appreciated,” the message reads.

Outlook.com itself is not affected by the issues, while the calendar problems seem to be spreading across the world. Both European and North American users are reportedly experiencing issues with the service.
