It wasn’t just Liza Minnelli that got left out of the photo, it turns out

Ellen DeGeneres hosted the Oscars 2014, which was her second time on the job, and she delivered the highest ratings in a decade. She also broke Twitter by posting online a multi-selfie with some of the biggest names in showbiz right now.

The celebrity photo included Jared Leto, Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ellen, Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, Lupita Nyong’o, Nyong’o’s brother Peter, Angelina Jolie and Bradley Cooper.

Liza Minnelli was so far back and she is so small in height that she wasn’t visible in the frame. However, Homer Simpson reveals on Twitter, there was another celebrity who should have been in the pic but, unlike in Liza’s case, was rudely shoved out of the frame.

You can see in the photo above who it was. Hint: it was Homer himself, whom Bradley Cooper kept out of the frame by shoving him down with his foot. He was probably afraid that Homer would steal everyone else’s thunder, his included, so he opted to eliminate the competition.

Then again, had he allowed him, perhaps the photo would have been even more popular. As it was, without Homer, the photo got over 1 million retweets in just half an hour, and is now sitting prettily at 3.2 million retweets, being the most retweeted photo ever in history.

Can you imagine these figures if Homer had been allowed in the frame?
