The 86th Annual Academy Awards are taking place this Sunday, and people are already getting excited at the buzz created by his once-a-year event. This year, you'll be able to experience the magic of the red carpet, the nominations and the wins directly from your computer, tablet or phone.
USA Today reports that the Oscars are going to be streamed live on the internet this year. According to the website, “In order to access WATCH ABC, you must have a cable subscription through , , , , Midcontinent Communicaitons, Verizion FiOS, or AT&T U-Verse in either New York, , Chicago, , , Houston, or Fresno.”
Those that don't have such subscriptions or come from different locations will only have access to the second-screen experience, which is being called “The Oscars Backstage,” showing footage from the cameras on the red carpet and backstage at the Dolby Theater.
Those who are verified through WATCH ABC are going to be able to toggle between camera positions, such as the Thank You Cam, Winners Walk, as well as Audience and Press Room.
This year's Oscars will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and are going to take place at the Dolby Theater on March 2, starting with 8:30 pm ET and 5:30 pm PT.
