14 DAY TRIAL // Many probably smirked when they heard Seth MacFarlane would be hosting the Oscars 2013, perhaps thinking that he wasn’t cut out for the job and that he might end up offending way too many people. Below is his opening monolog, check it out to see how he did.
This is probably one of the best openers ever: it has bite without being offensive, it’s funny, light and pretty smart as well.
As if that wasn’t enough, it also features musical guest appearances, and dancing from the ever gorgeous Charlize Theron and the handsome Channing Tatum.
Also, a song about the actresses who aren’t ashamed of showing their breasts in front of the camera, and an awesome joke about grumpy Tommy Lee Jones.
The opener also included a surprise appearance from Cpt. Kirk from the Enterprise, come back from the future to warn Seth that he was about to ruin the Oscars. With some help, he didn’t.
