For the first time ever, as host Seth MacFarlane also pointed out in his opening monolog, the Oscars had a theme for the 2013 edition: musicals. Aptly so then that the Oscarcast also included a tribute to three of the biggest musical releases of recent years.

Kicking it off was Catherine Zeta Jones who revisited her character in the Oscar-winning “Chicago” and performed on top of a piano. She’s still as foxy as ever.

Next up was Jennifer Hudson, who won her first Oscar for “Dreamgirls.” She sang the powerful “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” definitely one of my favorites and, judging by the standing ovation she got at the end, I’m not alone in this.

Closing the tribute was the entire cast of “Les Miserables.” Anne Hathaway (who also won Best Supporting Actress this year), Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and many others took to the stage to sing one of the songs in the film.

Check out the entire tribute in the video below and, useless to say, enjoy!
