Lawrence was sitting down with George Stephanopoulos for an interview for ABC after winning Best Actress, when Nicholson simply popped in the conversation to say a few words to her and, ultimately, praise her for her stunning looks.
“You look like an old girlfriend,” he tells her after praising her performance in “Silver Linings Playbook.”
Jennifer flirts back: “Oh, really? Do I look like a new girlfriend?”
“I’ve thought about it,” he responds, walking away. He then comes back to whisper to her, “I’ll be waiting,” and walks away.
Awesome is the word that comes to mind to describe their first meeting.
