Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow present Best Documentary at the Oscars 2012

Critics say that one of the lamest, most unfunny moments at the Oscars 2012 was the “sketch” Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow did before presenting the award for Best Documentary.

You can see it in full below, embedded at the end of this post.

Either we're way too partial to Robert (which we are), who, in our eyes, can't do anything wrong (which he can't), or this actually worked – but we like it.

Granted, the idea of a sketch with Robert making a documentary at the Oscars while he's presenting Best Documentary might not be the most original and, indeed, Gwyneth's lines seem very forced.

Even so, considering everything else that went down last night, at the awards show that critics also call the worst in history, this is pretty good, albeit mild, entertainment.

Check out the sketch below and let us know what you think of it.
