14 DAY TRIAL // Natalie Portman shocked the world when she announced that she was both pregnant and engaged but, it would seem, she still has some things she wants to keep to herself. Word has it she got married in secret.
Portman, who shone on the red carpet at the Oscars 2012 on Sunday night on the arm of her fiancé Benjamin Millepied, is probably already married.
So, if you're a fan and you're waiting for an announcement of some sorts in this respect, it's probably best if you don't.
As JustJared points out, during the red carpet ceremony, photographers noticed that Benjamin was wearing what looked very much like a wedding band.
“Have Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied already tied the knot?” the e-zine asks.
“The 30-year-old actress had Oscar viewers buzzing when she walked the red carpet with Benjamin wearing what appeared to be a wedding set,” the same media outlet reports.
“The Black Swan choreographer was also photographed wearing a silver band on his wedding finger,” says JJ.
Indeed, shortly after Natalie's fashion was analyzed in great detail – and praised –, talk started making the rounds about how it couldn't have been a coincidence that Benjamin wore a wedding band.
They most definitely tied the knot in secret, perhaps shortly after their son was born, voices online are saying.
If that's the case, congratulations are probably in order.
The couple surprised everybody when, in December 2010, just as awards season was about to start for Natalie, who had been reaping praises for her breathtaking role in “Black Swan,” they announced they were having a baby.
At that time, no one even knew they were dating. They met on the set of the film, where Benjamin choreographed some of the routines.
Even better, they were engaged to be married, but they did not announce a date.
Aleph was born in 2011, and is the couple's first child.
