14 DAY TRIAL // It was bound to come to this: after dissecting all Oscars 2012 red carpet photos of Angelina Jolie, tabs and celebrity bloggers are now turning their attention to other stars who struck the same pose in the past, Jennifer Aniston being one of them.
This begs the question, did Angelina Jolie “steal” the look and the pose from Aniston?
As we also reported at the time, the stunner caused quite a commotion at the Oscars this year, by strutting down the red carpet in a black velvet dress with a slit that went all the way up to her thigh.
On the red carpet (and later, during the ceremony), Angelina made sure she showed plenty of leg, by thrusting it forward and leaning on it, with the left arm resting on her hip.
As it turns out, the leggy pose has been done before, E! Online points out (and it's just one of the many celebrity publications to do so).
Two years ago, at the Golden Globes, Jennifer Aniston wore a similar dress and struck a similar pose, though she didn't come across as awkward as Jolie.
“Turns out, the duo share more than just an association with Brad Pitt, judging by this pic of Aniston striking her own fierce leggy look at the Golden Globes two years ago,” E! writes.
“In it, the Wanderlust star wows in a smashing one-shouldered black Valentino gown, and gives us some serious double vision when paired beside Jolie's own Versace-approved version: the tousled hair, the stratospheric slit, the leggy looky-loo,” adds the e-zine.
Indeed, a side by side comparison confirms the resemblance, but from that to saying Jolie “stole” the look from Aniston is perhaps quite a leap.
In other “leggy-news,” Joan Rivers became the first celebrity to go on the record speaking out against Angelina for her Oscars pose, as we also informed you earlier today.
The E! Fashion Police host believes the whole thing was planned and, more importantly, damaging for her image, one that she's been working hard for years to build and maintain.
As a side thought, no one criticized Jennifer Aniston when she too showed plenty of leg at the Globes.
