14 DAY TRIAL // Angelina Jolie made quite a splash at the Oscars 2012, by showing up in a black velvet Armani gown with a slit that went up to her thigh – and making sure everybody saw her leg. However, she also caused some commotion with viewers at home for how skinny she appeared.
That Jolie is thinner than she was when she was younger is no longer a secret. In fact, she's been criticized and attacked for her weight for years now, with tabs coming up with the oddest stories to explain it.
It could be that she's just naturally this thin, but this is not what viewers of the Oscarcast thought.
Us Magazine reports that Twitter went abuzz with talk during the ceremony about how bony Jolie appeared on cameras.
Her weight, just like her right leg, became trending topic, generating massive amounts of tweets per second, the celebrity publication says.
“Jolie's over-the-top posing wasn't the only thing that stood out at the star-studded ceremony: her increasingly thin appearance became a topic of concern on Twitter. According to The Academy, Jolie's bony body ignited 3,399 tweets per minute,” Us mag reports.
Even celebrities went on the record with their criticism of the A-list actress and director, the same e-zine further notes.
“Dear Angelina Jolie... eat something,” singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee tweeted.
“Angelina Jolie is beautiful but she needs a lil' more meat on those bones!” Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks also wrote, adding that she should eat “some biscuits and Popeyes chicken.”
TMZ also suggests that Jolie's frame is looking bonier than ever, and that she should take better care of herself: rest more, eat better, take some time off perhaps.
As we also informed you yesterday, Angelina also made headlines for her awkward posture and pose on the red carpet, as well as during the ceremony.
Of course, everybody admitted that she looked as incredibly beautiful as ever, but they also noted that she was posing way too hard, pushing her right leg (now an Internet star) out, as if to get people to notice that she was wearing a dress with a very bold thigh slit.
