Celine Dion gave birth to twins only four months ago and, though she vouched she would do nothing special to lose weight, it seems she too is blessed with a supermodel’s body, judging by her dress at the Oscars 2011.
The singer and husband Rene Angelil were invited at the prestigious movie awards ceremony as Celine was one of
the guest performers: she did “Smile” for the “In Memoriam” segment.
Before that, though, and before the awards ceremony kicked off, the singer took to the rest carpet – and wowed onlookers with her incredible figure, exquisite styling and radiant smile, as
JustJared can confirm.
“Celine Dion glams up the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars held at the Kodak Theater on Sunday (February 27) in Los Angeles,” the e-zine says.
“The 42-year-old actress looked amazing in a Giorgio Armani Privé gown after giving birth to twins just four months ago. Celine was joined on the red carpet by her husband Rene Angelil,” JustJared notes.
Celine’s styling was also amazing, as noted above: she went for understated makeup with a bit of bronzed foundation, and soft curls that allowed the focus to fall on the face and the eye-catching necklace that almost nestled in between her breasts.
As fans must know, as popular as Celine might be, she was not always a favorite of fashion critics with her red carpet choices. But this year, she was a vision from another world.
Amidst negative reviews from critics and talk of how this year’s Oscar ceremony was the worst ever in the history of the awards, Celine was on the red carpet as the ceremony should have been: stylish, elegant, classy and gorgeous.
Speaking of the ceremony, film critics have blasted hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco (together with organizers, of course) for trying to make the show into something that it has never been – and will most likely never be.
