On the red carpet at the glitzy Vanity Fair party, Amanda Seyfried was unfortunate enough to experience in front of the cameras just how perilous high heels can be, when she tripped and nearly fell.

There is no written account of the incident, but, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words: and we have about two thousand of them, in that case.

Amanda, considered one of the hottest up and coming actress of the moment and IT girls, wowed photographers with her very short and yet very stylish Valentino dress.

She was impeccable: the mini, the hair, the makeup, the shoes. As she turned to leave, though, she tripped on her Fendi peep-toe pumps, rolled her ankle and nearly avoided an even more embarrassing situation.

But for this minor incident, as noted above, Seyfried’s outfit was received with warm praise, because it was both appropriate for the occasion and very well fitting.

“All eyes were on Amanda Seyfried at the coveted Vanity Fair Oscar party. Fashion fans waited with bated breath for a glimpse of Seyfried’s red carpet dress: The actress wore a long-sleeved ivory mini dress from the Pre-Fall Valentino collection,” Style Bistro writes.

“The low-cut ruffled dress revealed a glimpse of Seyfried’s lacy black bra. Slightly tousled locks, cat eyes and rosy lips completed the sultry look,” the e-zine says.

Indeed, it was a get-up only someone with her body and her confidence could pull off.

“Since winning acclaim for her starring role in Mamma Mia, Amanda has quickly become one of Hollywood’s darlings. She’ll be seen next in the dark retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. The gothic fairytale hits theaters mid-March,” Style Bistro also notes.

Fans who are worried Amanda might have sustained a serious injury because of the high-heeled shoes, should rest assured: the very next day, she did a couple of televised interviews and she was still wearing heels, so it’s safe to say those incredible legs of hers are fine.
