14 DAY TRIAL // Oscar Pistorius shot dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day this year, in his home. He has been charged with murder but has been saying all along that he thought she was an intruder and, therefore, had been acting in self-defense.
Gruesome photos of the murder scene and, according to celebrity e-zine TMZ, they could back up his claims.

“The pics were taken from outside the bathroom door in the Blade Runner's South African mansion and show two bullet holes in the bathroom door, along with a pool of blood by the toilet and a blood trail leading to the stairs,” TMZ writes.
“Another pic shows blood drops on the stairs, where Oscar says he carried Reeva while trying to call for help,” adds the same media outlet.
The bullet holes in the door seem to support his claim that he didn’t know who was in the bathroom and that he fired his gun panicked that an intruder was hiding there.
