Even if this year's Primera Liga seemed like a walk in the park for Barcelona - finishing 12 points clear of main rivals Real Madrid and with one game in hand - the real performers of the Spanish championship are certainly Osasuna.

Although it may seem incredible, Osasuna will play in the UEFA Champions League Competition next year. And don't think this is a joke. Osasuna managed to keep out of the main European competition teams like Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Deportivo La Coruna, Athletico Madrid or Villareal. The little team from Pamplona produced this stunning performance on Tuesday, when they beat Valencia 2-1, at home.

We have to admit that nobody was giving them a chance for even staying in the Spanish League at the end of the season. Starting the season as a pleasant surprise, Osasuna seemed to have fallen, much like Getafe, towards the bottom of the standings. But they proved everybody wrong. Point after point, victory after victory, Osasuna stunned everybody with the final win over Valencia, which maintained them at 4th, atop of Sevilla.

After a spectacular European season for the Spanish teams, the Spanish League's officials tried their best to reprogram the matches that were left un-played. That is the main reason why Barcelona, who were supposed to end their season before the Champions League final, have to play one more match in the domestic championship, against Athletic Bilbao.

It's been the same with Osasuna and Sevilla. After they both fought for a Champions League place, Sevilla had to settle for the 5th UEFA qualifying place, giving them the opportunity to defend this year's title. Even if both teams finished La Liga with the same number of points, Osasuna has the direct game advantage, where they squeezed a 1-0 away victory.

So, let's have a look at the teams that will represent Spain in Europe next season, along with the ones that were relegated in the Second League:

UEFA Champions League: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, OSASUNA
UEFA: FC Sevilla, Celta Vigo
Relegated: Alaves, Malaga, Cadiz
