Heartthrob Orlando Bloom’s romance with Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr has been subject to much speculation throughout the years, but one thing that is now crystal clear is that they are husband and wife. Kerr made the surprising announcement while speaking about a work commitment she had to pull out of, and a rep for the couple has confirmed the happy news, People magazine says.

After speculation earlier this year that they would never get hitched because she was too clingy and he was too in love with his life as a bachelor, Miranda and Orlando announced their engagement precisely one month ago. They did not mention a wedding date at the time, and neither whether they planned on walking down the aisle any time soon. As it turns out, this was a ploy to distract the media from the wedding preparations, it is being said, and have the intimate ceremony they probably always wanted.

“That was fast. Just a month after their engagement was confirmed, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have gotten married. The model, 27, and the British actor, 33, are now on their honeymoon, Kerr reveals in a statement explaining why she’s canceling an appearance at the Australian department store David Jones. ‘David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together,’ Kerr says in the statement. ‘I’m very much a part of the David Jones Family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life’,” People writes.

The magazine also contacted a spokesperson for the couple but the only thing it could get was a confirmation that, indeed, the two gorgeous stars are married – no additional details were offered. Orlando and Miranda are not the only celebrity couple to get married in secret, since, just recently, ex-“Transformers” stunner Megan Fox also did the same with her longtime beau Brian Austin Green. The two exchanged vows in a very intimate and private ceremony while on a holiday in Hawaii, just days after Fox told reporters that she still had no plans to get married.

However, Megan and Brian were not completely adverse to the idea of having the media present for the wedding as, shortly after the ceremony, footage and photos were released, presumably with the couple’s consent. Chances of the same happening with Orlando and Miranda are almost inexistent, though.
