After a time when all you’d read in the glossies and online was that Taylor had a new boyfriend, she’s been single for long. That, however, doesn’t mean that she’s lacking suitors, the National Enquirer would have us believe (story via CB).
Instead, Taylor has decided to look for a more serious relationship because she’s done with flings that barely make it past the 2-month mark and end in heartbreak for her.
Recently divorced Orlando Bloom is Taylor’s most recent admirer but, the tab writes citing sources close to the singer, she’s doing her best to play hard to get because she wants to see if he’s got serious boyfriend potential.
Imagine that: if Orlando passes this test of time, he and Taylor could be the hottest new couple in Tinseltown – and a very good looking one to boot!
“Orlando has been bombarding Taylor with text messages and phone calls, begging her for a date. But she’s been playing hard to get. She’s flattered because she thinks Orlando is so [hot] and, in normal circumstances, she would leap at the chance,” an insider tells the tab.
The other reason why Taylor is refusing to go out with Orlando for now is that she’s afraid that saying yes to him would “destroy her friendships with Selena Gomez and Miranda Kerr,” Kerr being Orlando’s ex-wife.
Taylor would also be Orlando’s first girlfriend since he and Miranda decided to go their separate ways and she’d hate to be the “rebound chick.” It’s a well known fact that no one ever gets serious about rebounds.
“She’s looking for a serious relationship. She doesn’t want to be just another notch on his belt. Taylor knows that Selena is nuts about Orlando and wants to have a real relationship with him. Yet all he seems to want to do is ask her about Taylor!” the tipster explains.
Considering the many times Taylor (reportedly) got burned in love, it’s a good thing she’s taking her time before jumping into anything new with Orlando. Her more famous boyfriends include actor Jake Gyllenhaal, singer John Mayer, and One Direction’s Harry Styles.
Word has it that all three broke up with her after just a few months over text message or over the phone, because they couldn’t stand anymore how clingy she’d gotten. In all three cases, Taylor had her heart broken and she poured all that pain into her music, which is something she does on a regular basis.
