Women are supposedly waiting for you once you hand over your credentials

Orkut members must beware of a phishing campaign that targets Google's social media website, promising adult content while pointing to a fake log-in page.

Christopher Boyd from Sunbeltblog shows us another scheme that targets the credentials of innocent social networking customers. The hoax prompts the user for verification, after which he is shown pictures of women who are supposedly “waiting for him.”

Once the so-called age validation takes place, an apparently genuine page shows up in which the victim can sign-in to his Google account.

The authenticity of the last site can be determined by looking at the domain in the browser's address bar, as instead of pointing to a legit location, it shows a shady free domain that screams “hacker.”

Beware of such schemes and, if you do get phished, make sure you immediately change your password to all the accounts that share the stolen credentials.
