Electronic Arts is getting into the Valentine's Day romantic spirit and has just kicked off a special sale on its Origin digital distribution service that will last until February 17 and sees big price cuts made to franchises like Mass Effect, Need for Speed, Battlefield, or The Sims.

After running some major winter holiday promotions a few months ago, Electronic Arts has decided to celebrate the upcoming Valentine's Day and has started a special promotion on its Origin service, which is close to reaching the 40 million users milestone.

For North American players, the sale consists of the I Love Games promotion, while Europeans only receive a smaller mystery sale.

New price cuts will be revealed each day and discounts for Need for Speed games, Mass Effect titles, or Battlefield 3 are also coming, so check out Origin's sale page here.
