Bundling a graphics card with the free download of a game can do wonders for sales, especially when the game in question is highly praised and/or anticipated.
Still, Origin PC is a provider of PCs, not of single hardware parts, which means that those interested will have to order a whole system.
"ORIGIN PC is proud to offer the latest NVIDIA Graphics Cards from the GeForce GTX Family," says Kevin Wasielewski, CEO/co-founder of ORIGIN PC.
"The performance of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti running on our ORIGIN desktops is fantastic and the inclusion of a FREE copy of Assassin's Creed III makes this a revolutionary deal."
We suppose it is encouraging to see Origin offer this mid-range card in its high-end gaming desktops, but we have to wonder if the free game will be enough to get buyers to choose the board over GTX 660 or something stronger. By all accounts, those with enough cash for a gaming PC probably have enough on the side to buy the game separately, when it starts shipping on November 23 (2012).
