PC specialist, Origin has a couple of new offerings it wants to show us. The EON17-X and EON15-X are two laptops targeted at gamers, artists and professional users who need a lot of power under the hood of their machines.

That’s why with these new additions Origin is using desktop class processors on the inside, the Intel Z97 chipset to be more specific. The producing company says these are the thinnest laptops with a desktop-class chip inside they have ever produced.

Origin's new laptops are super powerful

The new products are apparently 37.5% thinner and 30% lighter than the previous generation of machines. In addition to taking advantage of such a powerful chipset under the bonnet, Origin also utilizes NVIDIA’s next-gen graphics cards, in the form of the GeForce 970M and 980M GPUs.

These cards are capable of supporting high-end gaming and resolutions of up to 4K.

What’s more, the notebooks benefit from Origin’s own CPU overclocking algorithm. The EON17-X takes advantage of a 17.3-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, while the EON15-X is the smaller one, coming in with a 15.6-inch form factor and 1920 x 1200 resolution.

If these models still don’t satisfy your needs, Origin also has the EON15-S model, said to be 36% thinner and 25% lighter than its predecessor.

The device utilizes an Intel Core i7 chip with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M.

All three laptops arrive with up to 32GB of memory, the possibility to unleash 4K gaming on them, backlit full-size keyboards and up to 4 storage models with multiple RAID 0/1 options and support for M.2 SATA, SSDs and HDD up to 4TB.

For the time being Origin hasn't revealed the pricing specifications for any of the laptops, but we can expect them to cost quite a lot given the specs they pack.
