There will soon be a new device for sale in China, and probably the rest of the world too eventually, courtesy of ORICO.

What we are looking at are pictures of the Orico WiDrive, which Expreview supplied.

While not a storage device itself, it is an enclosure that can house a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD, all the while doubling as a wireless Internet access point.

In other words, in addition to carrying out duties normally left to NAS (network-attached storage) devices, the Orico WiDrive (WDX-8 625) provides wireless Internet, assuming a 10/100 Ethernet cable is plugged into its port.

SAMBA, FTP, Bit Torrent, iTunes server and Media Center are all present.

Orico will ship the WiDrive with an AC Adapter and a price of 899 RMB (Chinese yuan), or $142 / 107.46 Euro.
