Ori and the Blind Forest is right around the corner, and developer Moon Studios has released yet another super trailer for it.

The colorful platformer features gorgeous visuals and a mysterious story, and the latest trailer does a pretty good job of showing off the title's features.

The video highlights some of the areas you'll be venturing into, and showing the great two-dimensional animations of the in-game characters. It shows off quite a bit of gameplay, offers a visual journey through the variety of levels Moon Studios have put together, and demonstrates the blend of platforming action and exploration that makes the game so interesting.

The atmosphere is very soothing and the music is great, and it goes to show that you can create appealing video games without needing to put guns into them. The video, however, also points at some darker events taking place in the world, events that players will discover for themselves as they progress through the game.

It will most likely join the host of other popular high-quality indie games on Xbox Live, following in the footsteps of Braid, Limbo and Super Meat Boy.

A truly stunning game

The story follows Ori, a white guardian spirit who fell into the forest a long time ago and was adopted by a bear-like beast. When an evil spirit kidnaps Ori's parent figure, the little critter has to embark on an epic journey through the forest.

Seeking to liberate his adoptive mother, Ori is weak at first, being unable to do anything but jump around, but as he explores the forest, he meets up with Sein, who will act as his guide and protector during the adventure.

The action all takes place within one huge map, which players will be able to navigate without any loading times or transitions. The game also runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second, in order to better emphasize its glorious graphics.

Ori and the Blind Forest is coming to the Xbox One and Windows PC platforms on March 11, with an Xbox 360 edition scheduled to follow sometime soon, before the end of the year.
