From Oh My God to Ceilling Scraper

What? An orgasm is just an orgasm? That's so simplistic... Listen to the British Karen Manning, 41, from Brixham, Devon, mother of two children, who has just come with a sex dictionary describing over a hundred different types of female orgasms! And when you think there are women not experiencing an orgasm during their whole life...

She has classified orgasms from A to Z with entries like the Quickie, the Oh My God, the Ceiling Scraper, Jitter, Tidal Wave and the Totally Tasty and described the feminine reactions during the sexual act and the situations in which they occur. "It seemed silly just to have one word to cover everything. There are so many types of orgasm and no-one's tried to define all of them. The explanations in the past tend to be very basic and don't even begin to describe the true meaning of an event enjoyed by millions. Every one is different and I started taking notes and describing them in detail. I must say, the research has been a lot of fun," she told The Sun.

Manning stated she enjoyed a healthy sex life with her husband Nick and wrote the book at the demand of her friends, which helped her with some ideas based on their experiences, but the book relies 75 % on Karen's own experience.

"We?ve always had a good sex life. We have experimented most of the orgasms described in my book," said Manning.

For example, did you know what's an PA Orgasm Broadcast? It is one "accidentally broadcast over a PA system." I bet you have never heard about In-Flight Orgasm (also calle the Mile High), "achieved while in an airplane lavatory". The "rara avis" remains the Electrifying Orgasm, which makes the woman body shake completely. Still, the ultimate orgasm is the A+. The accidental orgasm is that occurring suddenly, as a relaxing way of the nervous system.

There are illustrations strengthening the textual information, but the book is written for entertainment, not for education. And it costs just ?7.99.

"I write them to appeal just as much to men as women. Some couples have told me they've never had such a good time as reading the dictionary together in bed. Fun, laughs and sex are a good combination," said Manning.
