Browsing the Internet is an action that requires the use of a search engine or - at least - a database with the most interesting sites. Many of us are already using a specialized bookmark manager or a browser that contains a similar utility. Despite the fact that a bookmark manager is very useful, you cannot bring your favorite links wherever you are so, in some situations, it is useless.

Yahoo! tries to offer a solution for these users, creating Yahoo! Bookmarks Beta, "an online service that lets you save links to your favorite web sites on Yahoo! and access them from any computer anywhere in the world" as Yahoo! says.

"With Yahoo! Bookmarks you can save a bookmark at home and have it at your fingertips on any other computer. Even when you buy a new computer, your bookmarks are always there and easily accessible in Yahoo! Bookmarks," the company sustains.

"The beauty of Yahoo! Bookmarks Beta is that you don't have to be on your own computer to access your bookmarks. Your bookmarks are accessible on-line from any computer when you sign in with your Yahoo! ID. Yahoo! Bookmarks is password-protected and associated with your Yahoo! ID to ensure your privacy. When you sign in, a "cookie" is sent to the computer. Once the sign-in cookie is set, you don't need to sign in again during that session. At the end of your session, clicking Sign Out clears the sign-in cookie from the computer's hard drive," Yahoo! also mentioned.
