More and more kid-friendly tablets are starting to pop up everywhere, and it looks like this market will become oversaturated pretty quickly too.

Until that happens, here’s another one for you, parents and children on the lookout for a piece of technology!

Oregon Scientific has just officially announced its second-gen kiddie slate, dubbed MEEP! X2. It packs a nice 7-inch display and a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU coupled with 1GB of RAM. Two cameras are provided, with 4GB of on board storage offered off the bat. Like most children’s slates these days, the pre-loaded operating system is Android 4.2.

Oregon Scientific has also geared up the slate with its own branded software that allows access to apps, ebooks, games and music. And of course parents get to control everything their child does on the tablets.

The MEEP! X2 is brought to you courtesy of Toys R Us and can be purchased for the price of $150 / €110 online or in real life locations.
