Version 3.9.4 of Orca, a free, open source, flexible, and extensible screen reader for the GNOME desktop environment, was released two days ago, on July 9, 2013.

Orca 3.9.4 removes deprecated stock items, and fixes two bugs. The first bug (#703645) is related to using the default locale if no family is specified for the default voice, and the second bug (#672195) ensures that key bindings are no longer disabled if Num Lock is active, even in laptop mode.

Last but not least, the following translations have been updated in this fourth development release towards Orca 3.10: Czech, Galician, Indonesian, Lithuanian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Slovenian. More details about Orca 3.9.4 can be found in the official raw changelog. Download Orca 3.9.4 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
